RedefiningStandard

BreakOut Athlete trains many of the most accomplished amateur and professional athletes in the State of Connecticut. Additionally, professional athletes from throughout the country relocate in their respective off-seasons to train at BOA. Why? Well, we believe there are a few critical reasons...

  • RESULTS. Ultimately, everything comes down to results. #BOAtrained has come to define many of the State's most accomplished athletes across all sports. In the 2016-2017 12-month window, 65+ Division 1 college scholarship offers and 40+ Division II & III offers in baseball, basketball, football, hockey, lacrosse, softball, tennis, track & wrestling. Three high school all-americans, 26 all-staters, eight conference players of the year, one softball USA national team selection, 15 FBU Top Gun youth football players, five nationally recognized youth lacrosse players, and 30+ team captains.

  • SIMPLE & ACCOMODATIVE PROGRAMMING. Our training is structured to deliver i) specificity and ii) schedule flexibility. Today's athletes have individualized needs, and tight schedules. At BOA, we compartmentalized our training so that athletes get exactly what they need, when they need it. Strength development, power enhancement, and improving speed are important and specific facets in our "Foundation of Fundamentals." Our programming (ie curriculum and scheduling) allows athletes to easily tap into the specific training they need. As an example, many high school athletes work on strength development with their respective teams--which is fantastic--but are not getting the elite level, sport-specific power and speed training needed to maximize their performance. As a result, many athlete's train at BOA specifically to improve their speed and power.  For athletes that don't train with their teams, BOA has you covered from A to Z!

  • VALUE. Value = Benefits / Cost. We believe our training results coupled with our price points, offer significant value. And that's what our athletes tell us. Decide for yourself!

"We believe success is found in an unwavering commitment to a process --a progression of development that requires self-sacrifice, delayed gratification, an intelligent strategy, & time... bound together with great attitude and tireless effort. At BreakOut Athlete we refer to this simply as extraordinary resolve."                                 -- John Coughlin, Co-Founder

OUR "FOUNDATION of FUNDAMENTALS"

Pyramid2

BreakOut Athlete educates and coaches our athletes in all of the critical components of our "Foundation of Fundamentals." The science of nutrition and sports performance is amazingly dynamic. BOA is committed to delivering what we believe to be the most effective methods, methodologies and instruction available in athletic performance today, most notably in developing speed, reactive and absolute strength, flexibility & mobility, explosive body movements and nutrition.

Foundation of Fundamentals

Our "Foundation of Fundamentals" must be developed and improved throughout the year. Too often athletes dedicate only two or three months (sometimes less) outside of their respective sports season to work on a few of the components of our "Foundation of Fundamentals." The honest and unfortunate truth is that the "Foundation" in many young athletes is partially, if not totally ignored. At BreakOut Athlete we believe this is a tremendous mistake and we are committed to putting our athletes in the best position to succeed in their respective sports. After all, you would not race in the Daytona 500 with four flat tires and with no oil in the engine.

BreakOut Athlete's curriculum focuses on both the development and the application of the specific skills in our "Foundation of Fundamentals." In other words, athletes are only three-quarters of the way there once the foundation develops. Athletes must then learn how to apply their strength, explosive power, mobility and speed simultaneously within a split second to excel to the best of their ability.
