John developed a passion for working with children at a young age. "I have a lot of inspirational memories during what I would call my developmental years growing up in and around competitive athletics." I would have never had the opportunities in my life had it not been for the support structure I had beginning in youth sports and in high school. In addition to my parents, I had amazing people in my life committed to providing a culture of excellence that included high expectations and tremendous guidance." Speed School is a comprehensive community that provides today's youth and their families with that extra level of assistance. When asked about his ambitions, John explained, "I lost many friends, business colleagues and a college teammate on September 11, 2001. I married just two months prior to 9-11 and we had our first child in September 2002 so a lot happened in my life in a short period of time. It was during this time that I made a personal commitment to consistently try to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young adults. Key people were always there for me throughout my childhood and I'm committed to do the same." When asked about founding the Connecticut Speed School John explained how proud he is of having the ability to help student-athletes reach their full potential. "Our School offers the complete package to effectively develop today's youth and young adults... educational enrichment programs, professional & career development, nutrition, fitness, mental toughness, discipline and so much more. We tie science, experience and inspiration into programs that get results!"
